I don't think that is going to work. Take care. Tom Worthington

If it seems that bracket racing has gotten too expensive for you, maybe you are just doing it wrong.

I recently had a issue with ARP balancer bolt washer. They are supposed to register inside the mandrel (aerospace) when I went to assemble it was sloppy as all get out. I immediately assumed the ARP to be correct and the aerospace mandrel to be too big.....nope....washer was 1.650. I called ARP they said no those are supposed to be 2" (1.98") I said well it's not.....they sent another....same 1.650......ordered a Moroso (ARP) and it was 1.98" on the nose probably just a different batch.....it fit perfectly in the mandrel. I love ARP stuff and put all ARP bolts on everything on my new motor stainless header and intake etc and obviously all the important ones inside and was very surprised and disappointed that there quality on that item was off.....they get a premium for their fasteners and I expect they should be spot on...I get its a washer and not typically critical and it registers on the three bolts in the balancer as well but I wanted it all to be right....I was more disappointed that they sent another without even checking on a specific dimensional complaint. I will continue to buy ARP but wanted to share......

Until you have run a production manufacturing facility you have no idea how hard quality control is. I wish I knew how to produce with zero missed screw ups or mistakes.

I have been running a manufacturing facility for 18 of the 33 years at the company I work for and have yet to get to zero. You simply can’t get everyone to care as much as you would like.

I agree. I have yet to see a true six sigma operation. I don't think I have seen a true 3 sigma. I totally respect the challenges of running manufacturing as I also do but I guess it always feels different when you are the one receiving it. My disappointment was less in the mistake and more in the lack of reaction when brought to their attention.

Just to be clear when I said "you" I didn't mean you (BG) specifically. It was the global "you". LOL

One thing about my company is you will never get a non reaction though. I agree with your disappointment there.
