The 1st race in competition on these radials, got the win in 5.80 index. I'm still impressed with them!

The 60's were in the low 1.30s with the best being 1.311. I wasn't shallow staging & was bumping in further for reactions on a .400 tree.

Going to run these tires the end of Aug. our next race.

It may well be just me, but I think if you are going to bracket race on the DOT approved radial tire, it better be on a very well prepped track. But again, that is just my opinion. Take care. Tom Worthington

Thanks for taking an interest & providing your opinion. I would like to hear what you base your opinion on?

This thread was started to share information of trying things outside the norm for bracket racing & providing results good, bad or in between. I like to challenge myself & this tire is just another way of doing it.

While I only have ten passes on these radials with 3 of them in testing. While I'm well versed in racing small drag radials, I had no experience with small DOT radials. I cannot say enough good about all the radials I have run but I'm really impressed with these tires so far! To get a win on them within 10 passes, speaks for them. This came on a good but not a great, prepped track; bracket prep.

Moving on to my next race(s), I'll be using them on a very little prep all old asphalt track. I'll be racing both index & bracket races during this event. I will take my Hoosier 30 x 9 radials with me just in case. As a side note, the finals of the last race at this track. My opponent was on this same DOT tire.

Now that I have more laps on these ET street front radials I find them to be superior to the lightweight bias I was using prior. The front of my car steers straighter and feels more stable in bumpy shutdowns. Although radial is 5# heavier, car runs exact same numbers. I wouldn’t return to bias fronts given the choice.

M & M, now imagine what the car would feel like with radials on all 4 corners! I had to say it, LOL!

I think I mentioned it elsewhere, my car is a dream to drive. I never thought I would have a mid 5 sec. bracket car & now an index car on small radials be this easy to drive. It's a downright boring ride! I know it's not all attributed to the radials but they're a good chunk of it.

I agree and hear from others when switching to rear radials it made their car feel more straight line when driving.

When I switched from standard rim to bead locks (bias tire) I could feel the added stiffness immediately just driving to the lanes.

I think your car being 50/50 or very close, is an excellent weight distribution for the 10” radials you use. My car is 55/45 and would probably need 150# + on rear bumper to get F/R closer to even.
