My newest American dragster is equipped with the FT 550. No delay box, no MSD boxes, no additional dial board box, no distributor. Has a cam sync where the distributor was. 4 coil packs on each side mounted on chassis. VERY clean and neat without much cluttered wiring. ALL runs thru the Fueltech box in the dashboard.
Ran last weekend in Norwalk 40ks, went a few rounds and very comfortable with new car and how east it is to use. Very user friendly so far and downloading runs and analyzing data is a breeze.

Exactly how I set up my car when I was bracket racing.....Had around 3200 foot to floor when I staged....went to higher chip after button release...Made bracket racing staging very similar to Pro Tree racing....
Just the next progression in ECU controls......and very high tech
I've been hearing the name Fuel Tech a lot and they are at the cutting edge of this equipment....

I’ve seen them and viewed their software, very nice. I have yet to see the FT700 that I’m very interested in. I would like if they added a quick tattle-tale on the home screen to show when the traction control is enabled. It’d make it easier to police them.

Thats pretty cool, I think I would definitely want to have a spare just because it controls everything but I think they are very reliable. We have holley hp ecu on our mustang with coil on plug but still using a carb for now. I really like the holley dash and I think Fuel Tech has a big display now too.

Holley ECU has much of this, other than the traction control is a $500 purchase option that needs a key code to activate.

What is your box interface in the lanes? Touch screen? I was just uncomfortable enough with my megasquirt screen that we didn’t eliminate the delay box from the car. Gloves on impossible for us. FT’s interface may be easier

One touch on top rt of screen brings you to your dial in, next tap to rt top brings u to delay, next tap rt top is opponents dial, next tap to top rt is back to main screen that also shows delay and dial in. Easy to move around and change. Works well with gloves on as well.

Perfect! This setup can reduce redundant wiring in a car too
That said For those who have done efi in a dragster….you guys find it challenging to keep wiring and harnesses neat in the limited area to run them? Seems like door cars would be much easier for this

It's a Grid....on steroids !! LOL
My buddy with EFI stockers raves about the Holley ECU's compared to the older stuff.....
I had an Accel DFI Gen VII in mine...not fun but I got up and down the track
Had a Grid in my dragster in 2014....pretty easy to work with...
I loved new stuff and bought and used a Holley Annihilator ignition when that one came out and liked that....took 3 tries to get one that worked...
Hand held programmer I made a metal pouch for and it was on my dash in my first dragster....
The abilities of this new stuff is very well suited for PRO MOD and cars with big power....and I assume is being used in those cars as well as Factory Stock cars and others with big power and smallish tires....

I'm arm wrestling with my MS3 right now....Don't suppose I could talk you into sending me some of your files/set-up ? I just switched over from a ms2 to the 3 . Could not get an RPM sinal....come to find out I have to install a BIP773 circuit on the MS3 board to use my MSD crank trigger ....That kit is coming from DIY next week...Figure a VE table should be pretty easy....just idle, burn out, stage and pedal to the metal for the entire run...Have 8 EGT's and 2 O2 sensors to keep an eye on things

The switch panel is super cool and completely customizable. On the car I drove, the starter crank button also turned on the ignition and fuel pump, and then hit the same button again to turn it all off.
None of the switches or terminals has a designated purpose; it is all completely configurable/customizable.
