Okay, never have heard of this before… buddy just recently purchased a tk dragster like 2 or 3 weeks ago. He has raced the car a few times, it runs really good, 4.50-60’s. This past week he decided just as maintance he wanted to change the battery, so he did and was looking over things in the car. The car has just been recently rewired, however he noticed the micro SD card was in the slot in the grid upside down. So he got it out he said, albeit had to use a pair of pliers as it was stuck and put it in the correct way and all seemed good. Fast forward to today, fired the car up to warm up, drove it down to tech and by the time he got back to trailer it randomly shut off. Now, we pulled SD card out and found it doesn’t actually seat into the slot properly, it’s slightly bent and here’s the kicker.. when you go to push the sd card in, it sparks the coil wire.. has anyone heard of this before?? I’m guessing something shorted in the controller. Nick Craig 1971 Camaro Split Bumper 376ci LS3

So you are saying ”with ignition OFF, and inserting the original SD card that is damaged from inserting incorrectly previously, it fires the ignition coil output”? Never heard of this. Try using a different or new 8gb class 10 micro SD card formatted to NTFS inserted properly.
