Question about oil
Just bought a car for my son. It has a hydraulic flat tappet cam in it. It’s a really mild motor, but with all the issues with oil and zinc. What oil should I run in this thing.

I would go with VR-1. Hard to beat for that type of setup and easy to find.

I've run VR-1, Lucas Hot Rod oil, Mobil 1 15w-50 and Rotella with no problems. Current motor is solid flat tappet and it's had all of those except Rotella, probably just under 1,000 1/8mi. passes.

Wear protection, PSI strength, is king.

I would suggest the Valvoline VR1 Racing oil.

"Dunning-Kruger Effect"
-a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. This overestimation occurs as a result of the fact that they do not have enough knowledge to know they don't have enough knowledge.

Before you argue with someone ask yourself, "Is this person mentally mature enough to grasp the concept of a different perspective?" If not there is no point to argue.
