QA1 shock service / tuning sources?
February 22, 2023, 04:02 PM
GoobQA1 shock service / tuning sources?
Is it even worth it to want to have my first design Stocker Star shocks tuned a bit differently?
A double adjustable unit will require more alteration of the lower control arm than I want to deal with.
Suggestions and / or service experiences?

Yellow TicketAnytime I've ever sent anything in to a manufacturer, I've spent on average 50% of what new would cost, so I wouldn't spend the time and effort on QA-1 Shocks, IMO.

Larry WoodfinWhen putting parts in the weeds be careful, they are in an area that the mower will not hit. Good quality blades are expensive.

he has a website as well. super nice guy and has really quick turn around and is very reasonable on price. he repairs and freshens and will dyno them and send the dyno sheet back with them. we both were very pleased with his work and service.
ep-i like QA1. they work for me.

TomRSwapped my QA1's for AFCO's and never going back.
I think Viking is a better choice than QA1.

1320racerep, they obviously work for you. That said, you won't find them on any professionally built car, nor the BIG 3's factory stock eliminator cars. They are fine for a low power, low buck bracket.

racerdude2054My opinion is that shocks are a critical component of consistency often over-looked by sportsman bracket racers.
If it was me, I would get rid of the QA1s

Thanks! I like mine fine too, just wishing for a tweak on the way they work.
I guess the Lakewoods I have on the rear are not cool either, regardless of whether the car prints tickets or not.

Thanks! I've been told that the tuning is done with internal valving instead of stacked shims, so custom tuning is a no go.

I don't see anything that looks like it will fit an unaltered stock control arm.
