I had an issue with my welds when i went to mount up a new set of Hoosiers. Hoosier changed the thickness of their bead which was thicker and i had to get a shim kit to fix the problem. My welds have a OMF bead lock set up

Big SteveI have run Goodyears, MT big and small Bubbas , and Hoosiers c1500 and c1550s on my Weld V series bead locks and never had any issues with leaks or tire movement with any of those tires.
Well the MT did leak air but not from the beadlocks

green1I have a set of Hoosier radials that won’t clamp tight on my welds but I just used them for mock up never tried running them. They are a set when they first came out with them that came from a super stock racer.

AlaskaracerI have Mickey Pro 5's on mine, and zero issues with leaking from the beadlock running Mickey slicks.....it's a wheel problem...buy USA and stop worrying about it....

irf3Actually listening to the responses of people who have zero idea of what they are talking about. Let me give some education on wheels and rims. If you own Mickey Thompson rims most don't know there are 2 different ring thicknesses. Weld rims same thing. If you are referring to the racestar rims Greg Anderson entire team are running them also Elite is running them and multiple Promod teams are. Believe it or not they are very high quality come w titanium bolts and rims are as good as a delta as they are 1 piece. Most again are unaware that the rim companies offer two different thickness rings. Hope this clears up the confusion.

You`re one of the people with zero idea of whats going on. Hoosier changed the thickness of the bead on some of their tires in which i had to get a shim kit to properly clamp the tire to the rim.

I'd imagine the fact that they are probably not paying for them has a lot to do with it. That being said my buddy has a set of 15x15 standard bead wheels that have been trouble free

1320racerNot only are they not buying these wheels but you can be sure the wheels they run are not production wheels as nothing on a pro stock car is OTS nor OTB! More to the point, I’d bet their wheels are made in the USA.

And yes, I'd bet those wheels on the PS cars are forged and machined here in the U.S.A.
The quality control on the items that come from china is poor at best.

Our wheels are designed in house and currently made in China.
There are no Cast wheel companies in the US that we can use, Our Pro Forged wheels utilize a Stir Fusion Welding Process which is not available in the US.
