My suggestion would be to get the replaceable blower straps..this way when the straps expire you dont have to pull everything off to replace them..I think rbs and good vibrations have the kit. think the strap certs are only good for 2 years

Just put my TBS 250 on a month or so ago.

no blower straps (don't feel like removing those when i need to set valves)
no burst panel (manifold which is supplied in the kit, doesn't have provisions for it)
steel studs (came in the kit)
no blower belt guard (why would i at this point)

I don't run anything NHRA nor will i ever.

With the baby 250 blower only producing 2-4 lbs of boost in bracket mode I don't think you need to worry much about it going boom

Just make sure that there are no competitors that will DQ you if you don't follow the rules!

Big Steve, does 2-4 pounds of boost make a lot of difference in MPH and ET with a 540ci,1950 pound dragster that normally runs 4.80's?
Thanks

Cool

I have no idea. From what I hear this 250 blower is all the rage in bracket racing, most are running in the 4.30-40 range with very low boost bolting them on like 582 and 598 brackets motors,
Message Chri Gulliti "TORQIN" on here, he runs one and I bet it can answer your question better then I can since I run high boost in TD

I know on a 582, with only 3lbs of boost went from 4.80's to 4.50's

A dual carb 250TBS on a 598 at 2750bs went from 5.20's to 4.80s' with 5lbs of boost.

Looks like I need a belt guard and restraints but not sure.

Not sure who's seeing 2-4 psi of boost, but off the bat mine was showing 7-9 psi with a 33 top pulley and 67 bottom pulley on a 598 with an Enderle hat. 7300 shift point. That's using the simple gage they sell at alkydigger where it holds the pressure till you release it, had someone reset it on the starting line after the burn out. No data acquisition system on this car.

From what i understand, most folks are ordering the 64 bottom pulley when they purchase the kit. I figured while I was buying I'd buy the biggest bottom pulley i could. I have not tried the 31 or the 29 top pulleys, just don't think i'm going to need them at this point in time.

Best ET to date is 4.45 at 155. My guess on the weight of the car is 2100 lbs with driver on starting line, it was 2000 lbs with me before the blower (on scales).
