Same in about 6 hours from now.

My 5-year-old generator specifically stated in the instructions that came with it, to add Sta-Bil to every tank of fuel. I began also doing the same with my EZ-Go gas cart a few years ago. No carb problems with either one, and they sit from late Fall until Spring. I top the tanks on both before storing, to minimize moisture absorption.
I also use premium / 93 Octane gas in them. As little fuel as they use, I figure it is a difference of maybe a few bucks a year.

Throttle position sensor can cause this.

Cart is running perfect.not sure if it was the fuel or valve lash setting from .006 to .004.

I had a generator that began surging once it warmed up. I sprayed Berryman's B-12 straight into the carburetor, air filter removed, while it was running. After about half a can it idled as it should. I suspected some small passageway was blocked. I have now started running ethanol free gas in the generator and my golf cart---no more problems. In my area ethanol free gas is available in Brownwood and Weatherford, Texas, at a Murphy gas station.

I have a cart with that engine. My valve lash had zeroed out over time on the intakes to the point where it was very hard to start. As it got warm, it would run fine. .003-.004 and it was fine.
I did learn that the ignition module has a rev limiter! Soo, I had a MSD6a laying around and a 5ohm coil from a dual fire Harley. Talk about run. I'm now seriously worried about hanging the rods out of it. 8mm wires, 2 stacked fuel pumps, opened the air box, including a noise baffle in the hose.
Some kids never grow up.

RIP

you need the HF Predator 670 engine swap- it'll make pushing that broken down junk race car a lot easier.
