AlaskaracerI run Koltz. There is also the scented kind that I've ran before from Power Plus. Either are good choices.

markemarkKlotz Uplon, full qt to the drum when I pick it up and gets shook up on the ride home. I use it in gas at the end of the year for the injection. Works excellent!

I’d like to read the issues ones have experienced using lube and what brand lube, carb/ injection equipment.
I’ve only used MFI and EFI, never owned a carb and always used methanol. Even the company I purchased the injectors from recommends using fuel lube with methanol.

Lenny5160For a long time I’ve used a full quart of Klotz to a drum.
My most recent Klotz purchase was a gallon jug. I cut it back a little to 20 or 24 oz. Can’t recall which.
A lot of people say to not run lube in a junior dragster engine, but I’ve always used the same fuel source for everything and never had an issue.

Phil DeesI used the blue lube with Hank Thomas fuel for years, never had corrosion. After the blue lube became unavailable I switched to Klotz. Now I have corrosion and pink crud in my fuel system.

Interesting.. is this recent? What part/ item in fuel system where found?
April 21, 2025, 01:34 PM
CURTIS REEDThat is strange. I've been using it since I think 2008 and have never had a single problem. Not unusual though. I doubt there is a single product out there that someone hasn't had a problem with.
I'm not sure how it would cause corrosion though and if the system did have "crud" in it the dye could have turned it pink without being the cause.

Triple NickelIf you have white floaties in the system or white chalky residue its corrosion products from aluminum. Somewhere in the system there's an aluminum component that is corroding. If you have a return style fuel system (MFI, EFI, Carb), its accumulating in your filters assuming you have them.
For what its worth, I use M2. In the past I have used Klotz, the blue methanol, power plus, all with same result. If you have a scratch on a fitting or a bare piece of aluminum exposed to the fuel, methanol will eventually find it and corrode it how fast is likely a function of additive or not.

Phil DeesSome is aluminum corrosion that collects in the filter and a dead end where I attach a pressure gauge. The part that concerns me more is rust on the throttle shaft and blades.
