First time out yesterday and I get no data on SD card. The little light on the back of the unit comes on. I tested the record button and it checked good. I read that SD cards can become corrupt in some cases. I have a spare card but I don't want to start the engine to test. Is there a way to test the record funtion without starting the engine?

format the card and turn everything on and just hit record, see if you get data...

Turns out it was recording data but when I looked at the card it had weird dates from 2025 so I thought it wasn't recording.

If the future you can simulate a recording by using the logger voltage channel - that won’t require you to start the engine…
