AlaskaracerSix point seat belts
Does anybody have a pic or two of how your six point seat belt is installed and goes through the seat?

Bruce WilliamsI don't have any way to post a pic but i can try and explain how I did mine.
The cam loc has two belts attached at the bottom of the loc. These two belts mount at the same location as the second set of lap belts.
You basically sit on top of the two belts that tie into the Cam lock. The other lap belts come over the top of your legs and attach to the cam loc.

Sounds like you’re referring to 7 point where there is still a crotch strap and the two new belts (three total) coming off the bottom of the cam lock can be mounted where the lap belts mount. That’s how I set my wife’s miller car up.
6 point has two crotch straps and both need to mount under the seat similar to previous single crotch strap and I believe at least 4” apart.

AlkyIROCSimilar to a 5 point harness but instead of a single crotch belt there are 2 crotch belts and instead of a single mount point under the seat, the 2 crotch belts attach to where the lap belts attach.

seabasscan not be under the seat anymore, suppose to sit on them and they attach in the back, near where the lap bet attaches... must be on top of the seat and sitting on them

NEMO963Yea, not posted in a while and tried attaching through an Imgur account and can’t get them to post. It is weird sitting on them, in the case of a class 3 harness those straps cradle your legs to disperse the weight across your legs and pelvis but in the case of the car your sitting on bars/seat that really do that in the direction the straps are (downward). I can see the argument of dispersing the single crotch strap weight across 3 straps but you could do that exit the straps at the front of the seat (like the crotch belt does). It would also be easier to take changes to the rules like this if they would give us some case studies where this change would have prevented injury or improved outcome. I was lucky, my car had bars arranged where I could add by just cutting holes in the seat and slitting/sewing the seat cover. But if I had to weld new bars or tabs in I was going to be unhappy.

rustyif only using 6 point and sitting on the belts there would only the lap belts to hold you down and they will be trying to rid up. I guess i am goint to spend more money and buy a 7 point and sit on two belts doing nothing.

AlaskaracerI'm going with a 7 point in the new car. Won't have to change anything to install it so it's a no brainer. Still a pain in the behind though when 5 point have been fine for years.
