Again have to agree with Ed. Bushing lifters is an upgrade im guessing he won't be voluntarily putting them in any high pressure high rpm motor.

Safe transmission , safe lifters and safe camshaft profile, all because Ed is a greenhorn, and doesn't know how to do anything.

No wonder it's a pig.

Five hundredths slow in the front, Oh it's a pig alright.

Anyone who knows, knows if you knew how to work on the pig, you would be.

No idea what the damage is. BAM lifters will get a hard look. I think they are here in Florida. If so that makes them a local product and likely to be used next. Gosh, I hope I caught the damage soon enough.

I can not say this for sure it is only my opinion. I think the bushed type lifters need cleaner oil and I do not think the RACE type filters remove small enough particles. The street filters remove smaller particles but restrict flow more. So what I did is I run TWO of the LARGE truck style filters in parallel so all of the oil has to go through one of them and there is not much restriction.
I think all race engines need cleaner oil and I am not comfortable with the race filters that do not remove small particles. Sure it adds some weight but I think the cleaner oil is worth it.

"Dunning-Kruger Effect"
-a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. This overestimation occurs as a result of the fact that they do not have enough knowledge to know they don't have enough knowledge.

Before you argue with someone ask yourself, "Is this person mentally mature enough to grasp the concept of a different perspective?" If not there is no point to argue.

Clean and lighter weight oil with bushed lifters. That advice came directly from Crower Tech.

I found two advantages to lighter weight oil on my car.
1. Car runs a little faster.

2. The oil drains back into pan faster so I do not lose oil pressure when I get on the brakes hard.

keep the idle speed above 1000 in gear if you can so the oil pump moves decent volume at idle.

55 or 60mm cam? Babbit or roller cam bearings?

Where are the specs on this engine? Link?

If you can't get it done on the track, have your friends in the tower make up a fantasy story.

Pretend to win.
