Just freshened the 650 three weeks ago with new carbs. Found 16 foot lbs, probably 18 hp or more and it picked up vacume too.
We have a baseline pull 5800 to 7500. All gains show up without pulling to peak..8300.
Can’t wait to bolt those carbs on the 637.

Nice little find! Wink
How long will you have to wait to test it on the track?

I know this is an older thread.

If in fact they are Pontiac 10045427 casting have them flowed. You maybe surprised at what peak cfm flow is.

At the time i bought these heads i really did not know what they were so i took them to neil induction and he said that they had never been o a Pro stock motor and they were very good heads and have never been molested. I left them with him and he is going to do a valve job on them and some port work in the chambers and it will be a little pricy but once he is done they will be perfect for what i want. The only reason i am doing this is because i got a hell of a deal on them as I purchased a new dart block with pistons and intake with these heads. Also I got the rocker system with them as well but I do not trust them so I talked with Jesel and they can build me a new system fairly reasonable.

Al Neil??

Nothing in the shop. I have one more source in Berk ca. old buddy who passed -Mike Fujita had a ton of older parts I’ll get with his brother to see if anything is still around. I’m kinda screwed up here, flowed iron bbc heads and jacked the back doing it! Dayum they are heavy in repetition!

When he is done with them can you post what they flow? If they are the heads I am thinking of, I have not seen a set that went over 500 CFM.

Do you have any identifying dimensions or indicators on the valve covers or intake that would indicate 427 Pontiac heads?

I purchased a 4.625 bore bowtie tall deck block that came with a bunch of stuff, like a nitrous plumbed 2x4 tunnel ram and 2 sets of valve covers etc. Guy I got them from in a bulk parts purchase did not know anything about the parts, except somebody else had snapped up the heads, which the guy said they were some kind of Pontiac head.

The serial numbers on the heads indicate they are the 427 pontiac heads and they have pontiac stamped in them.

It my memory is still any good. The Pontiac 10045427 casting has "PONTIAC" cast on the head by the deck.

The guy I bought this stuff from does not know too much about racing stuff, he sold the heads to someone else and only mentioned he thought they were pontiac heads for some reason.

I don't know if the other stuff that came with it went to the same heads.(Mopar Hemi guy here Smile )
