I have used Schaeffers for years and also take advantage of the WebScope Used Oil Analysis program, ask your dealer for sample jars.) We have used their Micron Moly 20/50 in our four engines. the 565 in the dragster, 1080 runs, only changed the intake gasket and one set of springs, (we just broke an input shaft and bent a few ex valves so the heads finally came off, leaving the shortblock alone. Oil samples are nearly perfect for it.)
Three small blocks, the 406 has 843 runs, replaced head gaskets once, that's it. The other two SBC are under 50 runs.
I feel the Micron Moly is the best oil for methanol fuel, we get very small amounts of wear materials in oil samples.

Thanks. Now can you mix heavy and lighter and split the difference. Heck could mix some 30 and have 50 wt right? Not sure it really works that way. I know no reason to run that heavy oil and costing me power.

If do not sell I will be running it sure as hell not throwing 55 gallons of oil out at 2100 per barrel cost. Pretty sure not going bad I mean hell its already few thousand years old.

WideOpen, go to YouTube and search the Oil Geek or Lake Speed. He has a special feature on "old oil". Proves that additives do actually separate and the oil is likely not what it was before. I had about 5-one gallon jugs of synthetic 15w-40 that was about 15 years old, maybe more. I poured one out into another jug and there was about an 1/8th inch of black additive in the bottom. It was no longer in the oil I poured out.

Thanks for info. I haVE HAD OIL SITTING IN JUG FOR LESS THAN YEAR AND HAD BLACK FILM ON BOTTOM. Figured it was the additives. The stuff I have ib barrel in about 6 month old since we got it. So Hopefully will find someone who needs it.

it is thicker than normally run and may cost few hp. But at about 10 a quart I will run it if not sold. How long will 55 gallons last in bracket. Even with as often as I change oil at 8 to 10qts depending on pan. Figure 3 years worth at minimum.
