For anyone interested, the U.S. Postal Service facility in Lake Mary has listed 7 Arc Welders at auction on the GovDeals website, all of them starting at $35. I believe they all end on July 30th.
Most are various Miller models, (Gold Star 300, Syncrowave, Shopmaster, Thunderbolt), plus a couple of Daytons and a Thermal Arc.
Each of them says "not working". - Believe me, they might be dusty, but they don't get a lot of use, and though I did not go to that particular facility, I went to several others in the Southeast over the last 2 months, and more than 90% of the "Non-Operational" equipment I checked out worked perfectly fine. Just sayin'- Smile
Here is a link to the Welder category:

Scroll down on that page, and on the left under Seller, click the USPS checkbox.

Guy I worked for went to the local school board auction and bought two $12,000 Schildmeier wheel balancers for $25 each.
One was new, still on it's shipping pallet.
These were the king of balancers, spun the assembly at up to 130 MPH.
The Government $$$$ waste is unbelievable. Eek

Quick final update on these 7 stick welders. They all end in a bit over 3.5 hours. 6 of the 7 currently have high bids of $62 or less.
