I am planning on running 32.5 Hoosier bias ply Car runs 153MPH in 1/4. What sorta growth can I expect? Weight of car is 3550 prior to half back project underway. Tire clearance towards the front is tight and want to have a good feel for how much clearance I should setup for. Thanks Configuration: 3350#, 582 C.I., 60 - 1.24 1/8 - 5.53@ 126MPH 1/4 - 8.73@ 159MPH 3700#+210lb driver, FULL interior, through mufflers, 10.5 tire. 60'-1.333 (IN 4000ft DA! Joisy Math excluded; 1.25sec using JOISY MATH.) 1/4 - 9.60@144MPH

Probably 10%, that's 112 roll. I've had people claim 20% at 180, I find that a little hard to believe, but whatever. Hoosier can tell you exactly according to the design of the tire. Smooth as glass track surfaces you can effectively run low energy loss design slicks. Rough surface's I'd choose a high energy loss design tire. I think track surfaces are only gonna get smoother and the glue technology (chemicals) is only gonna get better, from here on out. Coca Cola works good quick prep, if dried in.

Did call Hoosier. They said for my tire it would grow at 150MPH about 1.5" total diameter so .75" per side. I am setting it up to have at least 1.5 per side. They said also the tire circumference would be about 5" total. Configuration: 3350#, 582 C.I., 60 - 1.24 1/8 - 5.53@ 126MPH 1/4 - 8.73@ 159MPH 3700#+210lb driver, FULL interior, through mufflers, 10.5 tire. 60'-1.333 (IN 4000ft DA! 3183 Mickey Thompsons and Hoosier 18700 33.5” diameter slicks on 16” wheels grow 5% in diameter at 180 mph, and also at 147 at half track. Figured out by driveshaft sensor and time slip mph.
