Stopped the streaks and also fixed a very small leak I hadn't been able to locate.

What Prep work was needed when you applied this?

I used a strong cleaner Greased Lightening if I remember but anything like Purple Clean or the like will do. 5 gallon bucket and a brush to scrub it clean, then I pressure washed it. I put 3 coats on mine using just about 7-8 gallons I think it was but it is only a 20' trailer.

Be careful if you are doing it in sunlight. If you spill any straight Purple Clean on hot painted surfaces such as the siding it will strip the paint. I have a very large car port built onto my home I can park my truck and trailer under and I did it under there. Also be careful around any of the vents. It will glue them shut and you will have to cut them open. LOL

It isn’t cheap, but if you want a permanent fix to trailer and RV roofs, the way to go is LineX. End of problems. Especially on motorhomes and trailers when the rubber roof goes. If you have wood underneath factory roof then LineX it and it will be good until the day you die.

Where can you get this? Truck stop? Does it seem to strip the sides almost leaving them dull in color, or leave and bright streaks?

I pressure washed my whole trailer yesterday starting with the top. My 79 year old a$$ was right up on top of it pressure washing away and today I'll be up there with the self leveling sealer re-sealing the whole thing. Had it 20 years and the paint is just about history but since it works fine and I am not a vanity nut it will have to do.

Just an update. I finally got some of this Castle Bus and Truck wash. It is a non acid cleaner and it did do a better job than anything I have used before. Doesnt seem to be harsh on the trailer finish but it does streak it some. It leaves it with a dullish shine that im sure a quick polish and was would restore.
