Anyone ever seen actual numbers on flow increase with bell throat or bell mouth which ever you like.

Not interested in comparing pieces just like to know if have seen increase in either flow and or performance.

Thinking about injector I have been wanting to build for while.Lower, lighter and different butterfly design. Thinking about bell mouth design entry.

Never worked with injection, but on a carb I’ve seen power increases. IMO, the increase comes from a smoother less turbulence air entering the Venturi.

Rather vague what you are talking about but say an Enderle Birdcatcher flows about 4500 CFM. Your motor may use 1500 or less.
So what if you were to design something that flows 5000 CFM your motor still will use same amount of air and no performance gain.

The limiting factor or restriction is your heads, cam and possibly headers and that is where you should start if you are looking for performance gain. It is not your hat injection and any improvements on air flow there is not going to help performance much if any.

Wooley,

Thanks. Kind of my thinking on putting one on new injector. Building new small injector and looking at all part to design better flow. smoother less turbulent being one aspect of it.

Yes most all injectors flow more air than engine can use. Smoother flow should help with distribution and better filling of cylinders.

My teachers from high school would die if heart attack in knew how much I have been studying airflow and actually reading one of those thing with writing on lots of pages. Can not think of name of them right now..LOL

Before any comments about running what I have. This is not a swap for next week. Besides I need to know what improvements it may or may not make and can not know that w/o running one on car now. I know its the anti Christ of b racket racing to want to change and try different thing, but as ex member accused me of not being bracket racer. Why follow that one rule?
