We won't have any test and tune day so I hope we can come close with your help.
Here it is.
typical rear engine dragster.
565...blah blah blah.
new 1250 Rupert alky carb.
#12 hose from fuel cell to Aeromotive belt drive pump.
#10 from pump to fuel log.
#10 return from bypass regulator to fuel cell.

Idle pressure with gas is 3.5 and 6.5 wide open.
George wants 9.5 lbs as soon as I can give it to it.
Think the Aeromotive bypass will do that?
Would going to a #8 return help if it doesn't?

Only have two time runs to get the pressure right. Any prior experience with this pump would be great.

Thanks!

Jok

Need to know what type regulator you have but most likely there is a spring pressure that increases the fuel pressure. That spring pressure may be increased by screwing it in some or shimmed.

"Dunning-Kruger Effect"
-a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. This overestimation occurs as a result of the fact that they do not have enough knowledge to know they don't have enough knowledge.

Before you argue with someone ask yourself, "Is this person mentally mature enough to grasp the concept of a different perspective?" If not there is no point to argue.

Jok, The way we set the fuel pressure with our similar APD setup is to put someone in the car and set the trans brake and get the rpm up on the 2 step and set it to 9 1/2- 10 psi. Hope this helps. Kevin

set it at 9lbs at 5000 RPM and don't care where it falls at idle.

Thanks guys, that was the plan just wanted to save a wasted step if the lines were too big but 5000RPM should do it.

Good luck at the races!
