Long story short, broke a cam thrust bearing & race, also damaged mounting surface on the block. Back to the drawing board...

It's always something isn't it? Sorry man.

I know Right! I could smell that for a few days, then a week or so later when I fired up my new motor smelled it again. But I now know it is sealed good. Pulled 15 inches of vacuum at idle first fire up.

"Dunning-Kruger Effect"
-a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. This overestimation occurs as a result of the fact that they do not have enough knowledge to know they don't have enough knowledge.

Before you argue with someone ask yourself, "Is this person mentally mature enough to grasp the concept of a different perspective?" If not there is no point to argue.

I got my smoke machine yesterday. I "fired it up" today. It works just as advertised. I would not use it in an enclosed space. It generates lots of smoke under pressure and the baby oil generates quite a smell. I especially liked reading the English translation of the Chinese instructions.
