Looking for a temp switch to run the transmission cooler fan. Found few .Big bulky and higher temp than want.

Know there are others here who have issue remembering to turn fan on after transmission has some heat. Wondering what others are using.

Look on Ebay or Amazon Temperature fan control switch in automotive section. That brings up a bunch from $5 to how ever much you want to spend.

Some are grounded when they reach temperature so you run hot wire to the fan and the ground wire out of it to the sensor. When it reaches temperature it grounds it turning fan on. Cheap and simple and they have all different temps.

pretty sure the one that threads into pan and grounds fan when temp is 140 or above will work fine. No more wire to run. Simply install a T into line at the cooling coil, tap 1/8 pipe into middle of T and hook the ground to it. Done. $20 and maybe 6 oz added to car. I can remove that somewhere else easily. Hell one less candy bar three days before a race. LOL

Since the piece needed to do exactly as stated is in the way The T needed is fresh off the mill.Might as well give it shot.

Honest question do you often forget to turn on your engine fan? We turn on the engine and trans fans after the finish line.

I get it nobody found and advantage doing the same thing as everyone else but damn most threads of yours I've read are really trying to make the basic things harder or more complicated.

Honest answer. Solid block billet heads. What is engine fan? Run methanol injection no need for engine fan. Getting engine heat is the hardest thing about engine temp.
