Best portable Trailer radio for the track
I'm in need of a new radio for my enclosed trailer. I've had a couple of Dewalt radio's and they have played out for no more than I use them. I need one that can pick up from a good bit away from the tower because I usually don't have a great park at the track.

Thanks

We got a used aftermarket from the local salvage yard ($25.00) and mounted it under the cupboards and ran a cable to an antenna on the inside of trailer door. Open the door, flip the antenna up and dial in the track radio station. Has worked every track we go to for 8 years.

"Wait, I think they just called us to staging"

Don't get caught sitting in the pits.

Auto radios usually have good reception, better than portable radios. For a portable pawn shops have good deals on boom boxes.

If you buy a car radio and mount it then do your best to buy one that has KNOBS and not the stupid touch crap that they all seem to have now.

My radio is a bit of a pain to get it to manual tuning mode although I have finally learned how to do it. It works fine but I wish it had knobs for the tuning adjustment.

I have RYOBI 18-Volt ONE+ leaf blower, trimmers and impacts. I purchased the Ryobi P742 cordless compact radio (battery not included) for $39 that uses the same battery system. It’ll also charges your phone.

It picks up all the track broadcast stations that I’ve been at even at a great distance, and it’s small enough that sometimes I’ll put it in the passenger side of the race car and listen while in the staging lanes.

The only thing you can’t do is leave the battery plugged in for extended periods of time as it’ll drain through the usb port that is always active. I just unplug the battery at the end of the day.

I've had a few and this is my favorite.

Hold charge forever and sounds good. Easy to move around. Sometimes I put it ontop trailer and broadcast for others as well depending. Plenty loud.

When winter it's my garage speaker for music.

In RV watch Netflix and other things on phone if I want and don't want to use system in there and it sounds like a cheap decent surround system. LoL.

Is this a radio also or is it just a Bluetooth speaker. Thanks

If you look just above "add to cart" it says AM/FM radio with bright, legible display.

Both - digital dial in for radio stations and has great reception at all tracks both inside and outside RV. Walmart sells them too and I am sure amazon. I think I paid around 70-80 dollars for mine.

I have a bookshelf stereo system in my trailer, but I wish I'd gone the car stereo route so it runs off 12 volts and had a permanently mounted antenna. And I agree about the signal reception.

If you are looking for a good FM stereo car radio, the Pioneer SuperTuners have a awesome receiver in them. They can hear a mouse f a r t.

Latest radio I bought is a digital pocket radio with ear buds. That way if I am somewhere else I can still hear the call. You can lock the settings, so it won't change stations, or volume. It has a smaller tuning window so you can tune it to be off frequency a little, presets, and have a jack to hook it to trailer radio, in case the signal is better, has clock. Use it sitting in the car to hear what is going on in

I have a Ion? that I bought on Ebay and it is pretty nice and battery lasts a long time. One thing you may want to consider is the radio headphones like Worktunes. Northern Tools has them on sale right now for $9.99 each.

"Dunning-Kruger Effect"
-a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. This overestimation occurs as a result of the fact that they do not have enough knowledge to know they don't have enough knowledge.

Before you argue with someone ask yourself, "Is this person mentally mature enough to grasp the concept of a different perspective?" If not there is no point to argue.
