Dragster mounting of catch can and fuel pressure regulator

Trying to make this build neat and tidy. Didn’t live where I mounted both the fuel pressure regulator and the vacuum pump catch can on lady car and wondered where others have done so. Kinda thinking inside frame rails in front of engine.

I’ve never seen anyone else do this, but I put my vac catch can between the frame rails behind the engine, next to the transmission.

I’m not suggesting I’m smarter than everyone else; I just had a chassis tab back there I was able to adapt easily to hold the can. The hose is routed through the gap in the intake manifold.

My catch can mounts to the cylinder head hole and I drilled motor plate just to the right of water neck and made bracket for fuel pressure regulator

My regulator for the nitrous system hangs by the hoses in front of the water neck. My vacuum pump catch can is bolted to a small homemade bracket attached to the upper mount of my radiator just in front of the pump itself....

Mine is mounted on the left side of the engine down close to the oil filter. Both the catch can and the vacuum catch can are there. Tony's method might be better. I always felt like all overflow crap should be routed clear back behind everything so it doesn't spew out in front of the tires.

We put ours on the last two on the inside of the burst panel at the space of at the bottom of the seat. Can reach it from below to drain it. But frankly our Star pumps have not been pulling oil. Regulators we mount by the carb hanging off fuel lines, been doing that for 20+ years.

How do you get around the containment pan to drain it? Have to take the panel off as well?

Speaking of containment pans: Tjis is the first Racetech I have owned. Really like the containment pan design except….how do you keep oil from draining out of the corners if you do have an engine let go?
