Larry, you posted that this is an electronics car. If using analog ignition, why not MSD 7330 7al3?

7al3 incorporates many of the features that you would need to add onto a 6al box that has only a rpm port. It also has 33% more spark output over a 6al.

WHY?

Why hang weight out front if you don't have to? My radiator is in the trunk area of my roadster.

Thanks Fred. Coolest trophy short of a Wally that I've ever gotten. Sorry for the detour Larry.

In ref to the radiator location; the S-10 has limited room in front of the engine. Because of Ron's injection, a front mounted fuel cell is recommended. We juggled a small dragster style radiator and 3 gal cell round, trimmed the core support here and there, and still were not satisfied with the fit.

Just on a thought, Monte held it up under the bed and it was a natural fit. The near buy four-link frame rails provide easy attachment for mounting tabs.

Now we have plenty of room in front for plumbing and cell. Plenty of room under the bed for the radiator. Because of Ron's system and Methanol, I expect cooling will be just right.

Larry,
I would consider having it in the bed by the cab. Under the bed you will run into all the issues with clogged fins on the radiator. remember how much dust, dirt, grime is on the frame rails, now this will be in all the fin area of the radiator. I am sure you could make a real nice mount up by the cab of the truck bed (think about the offroad vehicles that run in the desert). Just a suggestion. Also, there is really not a need for the front cell unless you are really planning on standing it up on the bumper for a long period of time.

Very good point. With the injection it wont need a lot of airflow to keep cool anyway.

Great truck Larry. You guys do great work.

You have to put in the effort, to get anything out of it.

I had a friend that had his radiator mounted in the bed between the front of bed and the wheel tubs. He had a full tonnaeu cover with louvers for hot air to escape. I don't remember how he got fresh air in. Cressman in PA built the truck and did a really nice job with the whole truck. He ran it on gas and Alky, and never had a problem with cooling running 9.40's with a SBC.

IMO, you can't go wrong with the cell up front in regards to fuel delivery. Also know that you might have to install a bar to protect it depending on where it's mounted to be legal.

I think I know the answer to the next question, but why is the toilet mounted backwards? Looking at the pic,SLE/throttle stop is my guess.
Or is it a Ford and you installed engine backwards? HMMMM

Cool

*Ron's injection [Thanks to Scott Offerman] includes primer plus

Just curious, going with a zero pump? And what's with the backwards toilet?

Good catch on the backward mount! We are installing a starting line controller and because of the closeness to the firewall the controller will be mounted pointing forward and the throttle cable will loop around and back into the pedal. I do this same install with carburated door cars.

The fuel pump is a billet upgrade recommended by Scott Offerman, I do not recall which pump. The system is all new Ron's per Scott's recommendation.

Larry,
I just noticed, looks like you have a pretty big exhaust leak on the front drivers cylinder. Might want to put some pipe on that, or is that another "special I-20 speed trick"?

Boz, that open port is for EGR clean air compliance. Gotta consider the carbon footprint.

Work has progressed well with the Super 10. More pic and info soon. The engine has been fired and all systems are operating as expected. We will test at Texas Motorplex June 16.
