imakehpRoller bearing trans yoke
Is it an absolute that that you use a trans yoke that says it's for a roller bearing trans? Or is that kinda a gimmick? I would think a normal billet material yoke should be fine in a roller bearing....

rustynot positive but i think there is a slight diamater difference

imakehpYeah I measured the bearing and it looks like it wants a 1.499" diameter on the yoke....measuring the standard Strange billet one I have I get 1.5005" I would just use my crank polisher and take it down the thou and a half.....
I wonder if the "roller bearing" yokes are nitrided or something? The roller bearings have to be crazy harder than the stock tail shaft bushing....

Big SteveBesides a slightly different diameter, Yes the roller yoke is a harder material, the bearing will chew up a std yoke

The roller bearing will definitely chew up a yoke that’s meant for a bushing.

CADYes. They are different. Using the wrong one will result in a stuck yoke.

That's what I did years ago.. No issues so if it is hardened it was hardened deep enough. Mine was a MW yoke.
