Any 4.40's cars or 6.90's cars or better running on these with a soft tail dragster? Pressure starting point? 16" is not in the budget considering bead locks. The 3080 rollout is a good number for my combo. Foxtrot Juliet Bravo

It will be extremely hard to make that work.. Most 4.70 and quicker cars are on 16 wheels because they are just that much more forgiving if you aren't spot on with chassis setup and shock settings. I had 15's on my 4.90 dragster and it took a completely different bar setup and shock setup to make it work, and even then would swing a lot on me. Possible? YES Practical? Not as much PS: I ran the 3084S tire on my car at that time. Nick Craig 1971 Camaro Split Bumper 376ci LS3

I used to run 6.60s for about a year on a Goodyear 33.5x17x15. I think it was a 2534? I switched to 16” beadlocks with big mickeys and never ever went any faster but did shake less.

How much of a role do you think the beadlocks are playing vs screwing? Foxtrot Juliet Bravo

I have a mixed experience to report back thus far on beadlocked 3080's. I'm on a steep learning curve with this power plant. But I managed a 6.95/194 on a soft 1.06 sixty. So still not sorted out on the short times. I made a decently large step up in tire pressure and it made me pay. I didn't think I had stepped that far over the line. My shock extension is very very slow. 6 psi good. 7 psi headache. Good to remember. I need to step back into a safer tune and sneak up on this a little. Bringing boost in a little later wouldn't be bad it seems. Foxtrot Juliet Bravo

Oddly enough, only the right tire shook. Not sure what that means. I can preload, but would I want more or less bite? It sure drove right when it shook. Foxtrot Juliet Bravo
