Leave it open. By the time I close it or it closes it self it stays clear.

-a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. This overestimation occurs as a result of the fact that they do not have enough knowledge to know they don't have enough knowledge.
Before you argue with someone ask yourself, "Is this person mentally mature enough to grasp the concept of a different perspective?" If not there is no point to argue.

Lenny5160Close the shield onto your thumb, leaving a small gap.

BD104XSimpson makes an anti-fog shield that works well for a season or 2 until the coating wears off...

CADIve been using this for the past few years. I did alot of research, and am very happy with it. I also wear eyeglasses, and have not had a fogging issue since.

Used these on my glasses for the first time last weekend and they work great. I've always had to get my helmet on early at times to let things equalize a bit but no more fogging after using this.

FootbrakeJimGlad to hear, Denis.
Thank you and CAD for sharing your results.
(Now if it will work on the inside windshield of a door car for late night humid races).

RPROGASJR had the answer for open wheel cars
Slightly loosen the two small allen bolts that set the resistance holding the shield up, then stage leaving it up. Drop the lens as soon as you leave. The air flow will solve the fogging issue.
I've tried just about every type of anti-fog compound you can buy, none of it was effective.
