Timer to adjust K&R SLE/prostage?
Anyone ever install a timer on a K&R procube to adjust the time that the car goes wide open before launch to less than the default non adjustable one second?

I ordered one of these but going to have to mess with the settings and test it because it needs to delay the turning off of the +12v signal to the throttle stop solenoid https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d...d=AFHAE9RJVUMB&psc=1

183N,

I use and like the Pro-Cube and have never considered changing the throttle opening time. With my experience, it is just right.

To help me understand, what is your reason for changing it?

We put a baby blower on my wife’s car last year. Sometimes the 60’ are lazy, and that’s reflected with a little “check mark” in the engine rpm graph just after it comes off the chip. This weekend we put an O2 sensor on it and corresponding to the check mark the O2 goes really rich, down to 3.3 on methanol scale.

This is a mechanically injected deal(Terminator) so when it’s on the two step for that long, the barrel valve is wide open and dumping more fuel in then the engine can burn. So it goes rich when it leaves then cleans up. I know that I can solve the problem with a fuel bypass on the 2 step but I’d prefer to shorten the chip length up anyway. I’m thinking if I could set it to about .4 or even .3 we’d be good. The throttle response is immediate.

OK, I get it, and it sounds reasonable.

Add a electronic lean out that activates while on the chip. Ran FIE bypass on my blown TD when I saw wet pipes at the hit using a wing mounted go pro and it cleared it right up.
Added a Rons bypass to my 565 with a Ron's terminator on my PST and picked up 2 hun in the 60ft.
Super simple to plumb and wire
This is the Rons bypass

Grainger sells a delay you can get that you dail in the time. Works fine but the dail is not easy to dial very minor changes in. Cost is about 5o or 60 bucks I think. Delay off. If can not find send me email at cmconstruction2312@gmail.com and i will get it off the one in car.

No need for a timer, just need a lean out while on the chip, I promise you this will solve the issue

It definitely will, I had one on my car. Don’t really have a convenient place to mount and plumb it on this car though and I’m thinking the timer will accomplish the same thing. I’m thinking that if it’s only allowed to be on the chip for a short amount of time it won’t have time to pump that extra fuel up and go fat, but I guess we’ll see!
