Larry WoodfinBrakes for my "StingFin" Vette
Racers, Tell me about your brake systems. My "StingFin" vette will need both front and rear and master cylinder. It is a 1975 [which is a C 3 series] The front brake will be for the OE spindle; the rear brakes will be for 9" Ford. What is giving good service?

CashflowBeen running Lamb Components for years. My opinion of them is the same as Ed’s is of Mark Williams.
That being said, if I switched to something else it would be MW.

Curly1I have had good results with Strange, Mark Williams is good stuff and I like the design of the TBM brake calipers and rotors and are worth considering. Lamb look nice.
One of the cars I bought had Aerospace Components brakes on them and I would not buy another set of those.

WooleyI recently got my rear brakes for my new car. I went with Strange brakes. Fit is a ford nine inch with the late big bearings. Mock up looks like fit will be very good and quality looks to be high. Strange brakes look a lot better than the aerospace brakes a friend got at the same time for his build with same application.

1320racermost chassis builders of bracket, sportsman and class cars say
1. Mark Williams
2. Strange
3. Moser
in that order

Larry WoodfinI was curious if Wilwood would receive any mention.

1320racerI think Wilwood brakes are entry level, more likely to be found on street/strip car or low budget bracket car.

WHOMPWHOMPTBM don’t look back….

WooleyI’ve heard that other than the fancy cuttings on the rotor’s tbm’s are pretty much same as strange.

SCDIV1I've had most all of them...
Mark Williams by far the better brakes over the others other than Lamb. TBM I have no experience with.
Problems with Wilwood and Strange on my dragster
Wilwoods on the front of my Firebird were ok and no issues
Aerospace were cheap and I did have some issues with them but they did work well once I addressed the issues of rotor to hat bolts loosening....on my first dragster
The M-W's were trouble free and zero drag.....Took a few runs to stop worth a chit but after that were fine and worth the $$...They really aren't all that much more than the other popular brands.

seabasshaving used strange, moser, Mark Williams,Lamb and TBM, I by far prefer TBM, MW second

Al AlguireWe have Lamb stuff on the Vette, no drag work great as we never have used the chute. Also had great luck with TBM stuff.

I feel same way about Aerospace Components brakes as you do about Wilwood.
