A buddy of mine is considering replacing the LT1/od trans in his 1996 corvette with a conventional small black chevy and glide. Would like to eliminate the computer, fuel injection and accessories to improve consistency.

Anyone have any input on how much is involved in change? He already has the stronger rear diff in it and wants to run 7.50/70 in 1/8th mile.
