I have a Hughes and highly recommend them. I talk to Steven there and told him my horsepower and all of the gears, tire, etc and I was thinking it should be around 6400 but I did not tell him that I wanted to see what he thought. He also said 6400 and this is the converter he would use. I ordered it and it hit exactly and works. By the way it was right the FIRST time and did not have to go back three or four times.

"Dunning-Kruger Effect"
-a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. This overestimation occurs as a result of the fact that they do not have enough knowledge to know they don't have enough knowledge.

Before you argue with someone ask yourself, "Is this person mentally mature enough to grasp the concept of a different perspective?" If not there is no point to argue.

Damn, no ****! Paul retired? Damn I'm gonna miss that guy, he just did a stator adjustment on a rare Cortina 9" core heads up converter I've had 20 years.

Well that means your spragless. That would be TSI or PTC. I'd lean TSI but if you do so happen to call PTC, you gotta talk to Kenny Ford about what you're looking for. Good Luck!

If you can't get Mr. Kenny, Lane is super sharp also.

I love my Chance converter, lots of TS guys around here with them. Customer service is awesome, Marty ran down on a Saturday to his shop and CNC’d me a stator then met me there to get me to a race Sunday (made a big change on the car and needed to go way tighter to make it work)

Not saying any of these guys can't build a great converter but he was asking about a Throttle Stop converter. Not a Top Sportsman converter.

SO I can't resist, this is about the worst tread in a while.... There are many converter companies that can and do build great converters! There is NO best! In fact, it takes much more than just a converter company to be able to come up with a great combo whether your stop racing or not! Can't count how many times I heard this one is bad and the real issue wasn't the converter! it was the loose nut behind the wheel.

Carry on...

OK, now I can't resist.

I see that ATI was not mentioned at all. If you know who was still here, this would have turned into a big ole train catastrophe.....sure is nice to have different opinions here without the drama...…………...JS

Great post TOP!
Agree, Its about working with the builder and fine tuning for your combo. We have Hughes and it's Great working with Kevin. We did fail one after three years (many runs, many finals) in the car... I had a great chuckle when I asked about the warranty... LMAO Not worthy
