Well, it's been a while, I guess he's not going to want to build one for me. But!!! This item popped up. https://dragtrigger.com/homepage/ Anyone seen one? I wish the website had at least a photo of one mounted for use....or maybe a video showing how it works. "Despite the high cost of living, it remains popular." Dave Cook N375

Got a phone call Tuesday afternoon. Mr. Boyd called and informed me that there is a production run happening if I still wanted the STL3. I asked him if he was ready for my card number. (no cards, Venmo or Zelle works, or a snail mail check) Anyway, if you're interested in getting one, PM me for his contact info, if you don't have it. I love my STL3, been using it for about 7 years. It took a few runs to get used to pulling the trigger instead of letting go of the button. I finally got in touch with Byron a couple of months ago and ordered a couple more of the STL3 triggers. They are on the NHRA approved list. Jimmy Lewis

Thanks for helping me get him interested in building a few. Mine will be here Tuesday. I may hate it, but I feel compelled to try it. I had some let go issues that mentally wrecked me for most of a season. This gives me all winter to hook it up and practice the motions. "Despite the high cost of living, it remains popular." Got the unit promptly, yesterday I finally wandered out the the shop with it, zip tied it to the steering wheel to just try it out, maybe 10 hits. Didn't touch any rollout or delay numbers from the last time I was practicing. Ended up hitting it 16 times. It really felt quite natural from the get go. I was moving my fingers around a little, which I think is the main variation factor. I was shocked with the result. Missed 1 hit about 6 hits in, .030 One .000 Zero reds. Majority were .011 and .012 A couple of low / mid .00 Average .008 There might be something to this thing, for me. I've had a starting line mental issue this will eliminate. I'll report back once I've sorted the final mounting position, and hit it a couple of hundred times.... "Despite the high cost of living, it remains popular." Dave Cook N375

I looked at that at the PRI show this week. It was interesting and easy enough but I am just not sure how well it will work with me. A good thing about it is you have to set it before it is ready to go. That should prevent any accidental hits of it. I like that you do not have to pull your hand off the wheel. What I did not like is I try to have smooth trigger control with a firearm. This feels like a gun trigger but you need to hit it fast which goes against some of my other thinking. I just do not know how quick and consistent I could be with that trigger. https://postimg.cc/gallery/np3zpruo/ "Dunning-Kruger Effect" -a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. This overestimation occurs as a result of the fact that they do not have enough knowledge to know they don't have enough knowledge. Before you argue with someone ask yourself, "Is this person mentally mature enough to grasp the concept of a different perspective?" If not there is no point to argue. 4X NE2 CHAMPION. 2020 TDRA NE2 Champion

I have an idea that flipping the STL3 over, and using a push/push motion might be an option. One thing is for sure, anyone with a Pro t-brake should love being able to engage it, and not have to hold the button. There's probably down sides to that too. I have a standard brake...select R on the shift lever, and I have R. "Despite the high cost of living, it remains popular." Dave Cook N375

On the arming process of the switch you can route it through a push button switch on the left side. Arm the trigger whenever you want, roll in then push the left button with that hand to set the brake holding it until you pull the trigger. It’s just another option if setting the trigger is too odd of a movement before triggering. ____________________________ 2017 and 2018 Osage Casinos Tulsa Raceway Park No-Box Champion 2018 Div4 Goodguys Hammer award winner
