David CoveyPowerglide case repair
I have a Dedenbear case that has the treads pulled where the solenoid screws in.
It fell out of a guy's trailer and landed on the solenoid which pushed it sideways and that pulled the threads.
I swear I have seen someone make a repair kit to fix the threads, even a heli-coil would do the trick.
Anyone know what size and pitch the threads are?

369dragsterPretty sure it's 11/16 x 12
Good luck trying to find an insert or heli-coil, they do sell taps but they are stupid money. Had a friend that just had his fixed, welded the threads a little and tapped it. Had the same issue as you.

Bad NewsBoth Permatex and Locktite have thread repair kits, a 2 part mix and the larger threads have better torque resistance. Not really a load on the threads all the time, it would be worth a look. 5/8 is 375 inch lbs. (about 30 ftlbs)
