Reid PG Case - stripped solenoid hole
Is there any fix to repair stripped thread in solenoid hole. It seems to be a unique size
thread. Really don't want to weld case. Any suggestions. Might call Reid today. Thanks

Do you have any tool supply or bolt provider (high end stuff) near you? I would take the solenoid and see if you can find a thread kit for it.

Figure out the thread size and get a helicoil for it. I believe it is 11/16-12 thread. Don't know if you can find that in a helicoil or not.

Any machine shop could make you a threaded insert thats basically same as helicoil if they don't make one. Might cost but still cheaper than a new case.

If its two piece and you want to sell the case let me know. I just so happen to know a guy who can fix it.LOL

There's a machine shop in Tampa that's real good at stuff like this called Galaxy Machine Shop, he'd fix it up better than new. Probably $100 bucks. Doubt you're anywhere near there but I'm sure there's a machinist nearby who can make it happen.
