I’m looking at a 1950 8N Ford tractor. It runs good and has a front end loader on it that is working.
The problem with it is the 3 point isn’t working. Does anyone know what might be the likely cause of that and what the fix would be?

EmanYes, you have to engage the PTO for the hydraulics to work on all N series tractors.
Are you sure it's an 8N? Plenty of imposters that have been painted with red bellies. Be sure it has a 4 speed transmission and position control works on the hydraulics, 2N and 9N only had up and down and no control in between.

GoobMine is a '54 800 Model, it has a separate lever that shuts off the hydraulic feed to the lift.
I think.
