Hi all.
Need some help with a mates new shifter . Its a m&m t400 clean neutral with air shift .
Well i mounted a new Biondo 450(?)delay box to control it . Finally worked out you needed to set all 5 shift points any unused had to set to zero rpm . So now we have it testing fine and going 1-2 /2-3 .
Ok . After swapping in a +ve switched solenoid even better.Shut with no power
Well on track not so good . Hangs up on 2-3 shift . Has 100psi but when shift done does not lose ease air pressure . Stays at full line pressure . Seems to me it needs to lose pressure to allow shifter to go through gate . Shift in then remove tension. You cannot pull shifter back through gears/gate after shifting unless you let airline pressure out .
Does the air ramrequire adjustment ?
It has a turbo wastegate air solenoid.
Is this wrong ?
Are we missing something ?
There is no instructions with shifter or on m&m website.
TIA

Tex

Are you shifting on Time or RPM through the Mega450?

The solenoid needs to be a 2 way 3 port style with an exhaust port. Port 1 should be the pressure source, port 2 is the output and 3 is the exhaust.

Look at Humphrey 310 12 vdc electric over air valves. That valve shifting my 3 speed for 17 yrs and no failures. MAC brand valves are popular as well.

I run this same valve. Very reliable and can use a 9volt battery to operate. They are used on trash trucks to control hydraulics, and I've personally seen them work without issue for years without a failiure in the worst possible environment imaginable......

Woohoo !
Thanks again all .
DP124X your description was final piece of the puzzle . Our solenoid had a plug in it no vent . Fitted vent off another solenoid works as it should .

Now to wait till next race .
