Okay this new one on me. What would cause alky to bleed out of the squirters'. It has done it with 2 different carbs now. I thought it would be the check valve under it but it seems to be working right. I have not ran across this before. This message has been edited. Last edited by: ts393c,

Ed I'm helping a buddy try to figure it out. I checked the gasket. I thought about fuel pressure but it was around 7 pounds. I think I'm going to have him switch gauges. It's not a liquid filled gauge but it is old maybe it's wrong.

When is this happening? I assume at idle and you mean squirters not boosters? If your float level is too high it would come out the boosters first.
The metal plunger in the well is there to stop fuel from bleeding out on a run during high air flow but it can also trap a small amount of fuel above it so heat could also cause some fuel to bleed out at idle.
