This is how the car came when I purchased it. There is 4.125” between the front engine plate and the back of the alternator bracket. The belt is 33.4” long.

I had the same problem. Went to homecheepo and got some steel round stock that just sat into the pulleys but not too deep..just sat into pulley. Will show the misalignment I’m sure you have.
