2006 Ram 3500 2x4 dually diesel Getting the run around on Google, can't find a decent spec sheet.
Door label GVWR: 11500# Registration paper states GVW 7999# (net weight 6841# ?).
Wanting to buy RV dry weight 12500#, will this truck pull it (thinking 200# of junk/food in trailer. I never carry water. Hope to buy this week if possible
Trying also to find payload/GCVWR/ any specs for towing, to use for RV, race and our horse trailer. Thanks

I have a 2006 Ram 2500 quad cab , 4x4, , short bed , 5.9 diesel. My maximum GCVWR is 21000 pounds according to Chrysler. It was through Chrysler paper work, that I had found the GCVWR. About 1 year after I had purchased the truck, I went to get my Pa. registration legal for the GCVWR, and I needed a copy of paper work from Chrysler stating what the truck could haul. Your 3500 truck, and being 2 wheel drive, should be the same or more.
I have a 2006 3500 Larime, 5.9, auto, 4X4, and I pull a 32' three axle tag trailer (approx. 12K-13K loaded, rated at 15,000 lbs) with no problem. One thing I found out was the factory receiver (that is a part of the frame and bumper support) is not rated for that much weight. I bought a extra heavy duty Curt receiver that bolts on under the factory one. Works quite well.
edit: The factory hitch is 10,000 lbs, the Curt hitch is 17,000 lb'sThis message has been edited. Last edited by: All Out Brian,
