Larry Woodfinsmall drag race radiator
Because I run Methanol, I only need a small radiator for the Square-10. To my surprise, [it has been a while since I bought a small race radiator] whew, the prices are much higher than in the past!
What is a small OE radiator that I can adapt?

Larry WoodfinThanks, B C. I will check it out. It has a Ford rear, so a Ford radiator will be a balanced solution.

CURTIS REEDLarry do a search on EBay for Honda Civic aluminum radiators. I used one of them when I first started in my roadster. Here is just one example. Granted they are imports from I assume China.

I have bought and used several of the Honda radiators and they worked great.

GoobVW Sirocco radiator was the old school race radiator solution.
The replacement GM radiator for my Malibu is a plastic / aluminum unit, weighs nothing, S-10 would be the same if there is enough core support left to mount it, it would make molded radiator hoses easy, using a stock style water pump.
I used the factory fan shroud, and mounted the fan inside it. Late 80's big GM FWD sedan.
Hoses and a fan motor are just an Autozone or NAPA store away, when in need.

rs72zI have used several of these and they work great. Look for one with the fan and shroud.

Jodie JentSent you a PM Larry!
I have been using the Amazon Civic radiators that come with aluminum shroud and fan. They have went up in the last few years. I was buying them for under $80 initially, but they have went up. We have welded aluminum brackets and bungs into the water outlets also on all we have done.

CURTIS REEDI welded an fittings on the inlet and outlet like Jodie mentioned on mine and welded different mounts. I also cut off the radiator neck and welded it shut because I had it mounted below the intake thermostat housing. I used a cap mounted on that for my fill point. The shroud was super easy to make. This was a long time ago so not my best work. LOL

Curly1That is similar to how I did my radiator on my old altered and my dragster. Welded up the radiator cap and put AN fittings on it. Those radiators were around $60 on Ebay with fan work great.

Triple Nickel85 model volkswagen sirrocco radiator from autozone. Last one i bought a years back was less than 100 bucks. Only thing bad is you gotta buy a 40 dollar temp sensor to plug a big hole in one of the plastic tanks.
Mounting takes some creativity but if you don't mind a little fab work its a good radiator for methanol BBC in a door car.
