KGibsonDual parachutes - softer hitting?
I recently put dual stroud 430-24 chutes on a 2k pound dragster. Stroud said this is the smallest dual chute that they make.
When we pulled the chutes 1/4 mile at ~222mph they hit so hard it broke something internally in the delay box and felt like it was going to crash.
While pulling one chute would likely solve the issue, I can't really get on board with having two chutes but them not both being able to be used. Are there any better options that would be smaller / hit less hard?

Big SteveI had Stroud 430 chutes on my TD, the one time I pulled both was at Bowling Green and the wind caught them and tried lifting the back of the car up and turn me sidrways at 200 plus MPH, not fun at all!!.
Even when I pulled one they hit hard and were very aggressive. I finally made the switch to a smaller softer hitting White safety chute, was a great decision, they stopped just fine with one chute plus they were much easier to pack
