then Scott must have built me a dud.

I believe half of what I see with my own eyes and nothing I read on the forums.
So now that I have a 20 degree headed engine built by one of the best and I still stand behind my earlier comments...

Most all these 4.30s and quicker players with a 20 degree headed combo have carbon panels, little if any chrome, no accessories like onboard compressor, trans pump etc. some don’t run a wing and some have titanium headers too and most are not a 615 or 632.

In perfect conditions you will go low 4.30....long as you got a decent converter....would have already if you had my BOOK bolted on....

My point is I don't think it's a dud, very happy with the out of the box results on the first weekend on a marginal track in less than ideal conditions and a headwind, we were the fastest n/a car on the property and only two other cars were quicker/faster and both were Procharged dragsters but it's not going to run 4.30s in the heat, hence my comment about the claims of 615s that do.
We spoke to many racers on the weekend and over the past several days with 20 degree headed combos, several built by Scott, all feel it's an impressive piece and say the converter is perfect yet Scott said it's too loose.
ATM appears to have hit a home run with the carb based on the dyno, Racepak data and the time slips. Scott was impressed with it on the dyno as it made slightly more power than the larger APD he normally puts on these engines.
Send me your BOOK.

Now you’re being honest and agreed.
Tell me about your Book carb, what blade size? Also what does your converter flash to and fall to after the shift?

2.800....never have flashed the converter....I’d say it go 6800...

Good stuff Ed,
I may have over looked it, but can you give some carb details? You running Sunoco red still?
Have you weighed the car with this new combo?
Not bad for fresh out of the box. Did you happen to see what the adjusted altitude was when you ran it?

Don't have the AA in front of me but this was the weather on pass #3 our first 1/4 mile pass
on Saturday at Numidia Dragway which is 970' above sea level
there was also a 5-7 mph headwind.

our carb has a 2.400 blade and the converter is flashing to 6900, drops to 7000 on the gear change.

Tightening converter Just a tad? What changes in transmission? What size rear tire you going to change to?
