I wasn't sure what to make of your post when I read it. But since my belts are out getting rewebbed, and the rest of the car is probably going to be ready for next weekend, I thought about stealing the Pro1's from my sons car while I wait since they are current. And holy cow they are 2"! Is this ok with the sanctioning bodies? From a physics stand point, I would rather have the force applied to the body spread out over a greater area for lower PSI.

There are some good articles about why the Dr's want 2" out of indy. Google it.

Racerdirect.net has nice camlock belts with it being on the crotch belt. Price is right too.

With out reading through 7 pages, it is possible to re-clock the camlock to which ever position you choose.
Remove the back of the cam-lock and move the belt to whichever position desired.

I would say some yes, some no. I used RCI Platinum belts for many years. I received a set once and the camlock was on the lap belt. I took it apart and it couldn't be moved so I had to use the sub belt from the set that went out of date.

I did this on a set of M&R belts many years back... belts worked fine but when I sent them back to be re-certed, they refused to re-cert as they had been 'modified'. I sent them back in the original box and they noticed from the part number that it was a different configuration than original. I have been using Sparco for the last few years but they were on backorder last year when I needed a set so I bought RJS and am very happy with them.

Not.
Unless you are content to wear your harness improperly.

Been there, saw it, YES, I "could have", but that doesn't mean I "ought to".
The angles of the attachment points were totally incorrect.
