What would be the closest distance from core to fan to be effective. 12 inch fan. Core is 12.5x16 old school Griffin. Any help or advice is appreciated.

With the shroud mounted fan on my dragster fan is about 9/16 to 3/4 inch off core

Thanks for replying Top355x. I had my local chassis guy bend me one up today. It ended up real close to yours.
