I am about to install a new BTE converter this weekend. I thought while I am at it I would replace the braided lines from the cooler to transmission. I initially used a black, almost cloth feeling line set but now it feels like the fluid may be seeping through. Do any of you have a preference as to which braided hose to use on the transmission? Also switching over to Transynd at the same time.

Chief I have been using stainless braided teflon lines for years. Axxion in Tyler made them for me years ago. Regan Wilson Super Street 469C

For Transmission and alcohol lines I use the PTFE lined braided hoses. I have had very good results with Evil Energy brand on Amazon. It is very well built, easy to assemble and has proven very durable. With some steel braided hoses transmission fluid will make the rubber inside very soft and mushy. Also alcohol with dry out some rubber lines inside then you have black rubber trash in your fuel system. PTFE lined does not do that. The drawback to PTFE is that it is not as flexible and can kink so be careful how and where you use them. For water lines I prefer standard braided hose because it is more flexible and lasts long. https://postimg.cc/gallery/np3zpruo/ "Dunning-Kruger Effect" -a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. Maybe to the extreme and sure someone will point out bad. With trans mission and cooler be front of and between my feet. I rant SS tube with line nuts. Huge PIA but can almost garantee not coming apart. With year before last leak luck I will not garantee against that ever again. NOT LOL. I hade aluminum line and thought about using that 3 reasons. Lighter, easier to form and aide in cooling. Then agains it is in front of me and 200* fluid soaking the firesuit just sounds like no fun and decided to just skimp it. America home of free. I have always used the nylon braided line since it came out. I like it. I used the xrp crimp style for several years, just hated I had to order the stuff, dummy it up then send it back to be crimped. Also, it seems after a time the fluid bleeds through the tubing. So I just made up a set of the teflon lined to use on my rebuild of the Avenger. Hoping it works out. Like Big Steve I have been using the black braided hoses on my last few cars since it came out and never and issues. I also use Fragola stuff for everything. So far so good. FWIW all my coolers end up in the rear of the car so its a few feet to make it work. On my truck the lines are probably 12-15' long. Never measured them. One other suggestion is what ever brand hose you decide on use SAME brand fittings. Makes it easier as some brands do not play well with others. https://postimg.cc/gallery/np3zpruo/ "Dunning-Kruger Effect" -a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. After a few delays I finally got the BTE converter installed this weekend. Looking at the BTE website they show a high flow adapter with an oversized filter combo for a glide. Anyone familiar with this product?
