Got mine from Good Vibrations 10x30, it's awesome. Had it two years, not a rip or tear. It's had gas, oil and alcohol spilled on it with no damage. They are HEAVY!This message has been edited. A friend of mine recently discovered that roadside billboards are printed on what are basically heavy tarps. He found a source and gave me one. It's 10 x 32, IIRC. I had to install my own grommets, which are cheap and easy to do. I just stumbled across a website that sells them. I see that they are local to me. Maybe where my buddy found them, but I promise I'm not affiliated! http://www.billboardtarps.com Here is my pit a couple weeks ago: Tony Leonard

I have had an original pit mat 12X40 since 2013...in 5 years with pro-jacks, scooter burnouts, a lil whiskey spilled...IT is in great shape and makes a big difference when having to work on the car and especially in the grass pit areas.

I use the old billboard mats also, work great and are really cheap. Jason McLawhorn Greenville, NC 1955 Chevy

How thick (mils) are the ones you guys are using? Anybody ever tried to use one as a trailer floor covering? I have rubber coin that I'm not extremely fond of right now.

I'm pretty sure mine is 11. I've only used it at one event so I can't speak to durability. Tony Leonard

I bought one from Billboard Tarps. 14x23 $43.91 to my door. I’ll be going to a track next month that I have to park on grass and dirt and if I only use it at that track it will be well worth it. Turndowns on my roadster sure stir up a mess. Curtis ____________________________ 2017 and 2018 Osage Casinos Tulsa Raceway Park No-Box Champion 2018 Div4 Goodguys Hammer award winner

I use these 10x40 used same one for 6 years on my second one now. Ordered 2 six years ago and decided to give original to a fellow racer and break out the nes one I had been hauling around for 6 years. Like the 40 foot can tarp from end of tailgate to front of trailer with one tarp. https://www.tarpsonline.com/tarps/silver.aspx

Wait a minute! you mean you work on a bracket car? I hear you never have to work on bracket car at the track. Have been LMAO at that one for while. One question on used bill board tarps, how do you know whats going to be on them or are they just black? America home of free. Brought to you by 2nd amendment.

I bought a 10x30 from Pit Mat. it weighs 75lbs. Hopefully it holds up to the dirt and rock we have to park in at the Motorplex national.

Who said I was working on it? The only reason I worked on it in the last month is because I slowed it down .900 for a race last weekend and have to put it back to normal for next weekend. You can laugh if you want but I race to have fun not another full time job. I've only won 5 races this year so maybe I need to start pulling the heads at the track. The one they sent me is white with lettering on one side. I have no idea yet what it says and didn't know what they would send. I haven't unrolled it yet to see but I assume the back is black. I am going to put grommets in the corners of it this weekend so I can post back later. You said turndowns and I read teardowns ,too many years yanking heads and pan every run or so I guess. Don't laugh at guys not tearing into motor ten time weekend.Just thats part I enjoy and not a job it is relaxing to be in trash. Yea I get the ironic part of that. Pit mats are needless to say a must for me. America home of free. Brought to you by 2nd amendment.

I rarely have the need for a pit mat because most of the tracks we run at have very nice asphalt. So spending hundreds of dollars on a heavy pit mat doesn't seem necessary to me. But I will be running the national event at the Texas Motorplex, and have heard their pit spots can be quite messy. I like the idea of the light weight billboard tarps. Hope I have enough time to get one here before I have to leave! Thanks for the good info Tony. Mike Boehner

Was just at the Motorplex for the first time racing last weekend. I think my car weighed a few pounds more with all the pea gravel my tires were throwing into the car. It rained every day a little so some of the spots in the gravel were kinda muddy (right where I parked of course). If you get parked out there it can be a bit messy. Had a ball and not running the track down at all though I would go back in a heartbeat.
