Just replaced fuel pump on race car and have a question about grounding the fuel cell in trunk. Can't find in the rules where it even calls for a ground, but I know NHRA would like to see one. Everything has been done like metal protection under exposed sump, vented to outside and proper clamping material to hold it in, but where is the proper location to attach a ground to a plastic fuel tank??. Thanks in advance Bob

I’ve always hooked it to one of the bolts that hold the fuel cap in

Correct, the fill cap flange is where it should be grounded. "Despite the high cost of living, it remains popular." Dave Cook N375
