Now that Goodyear has acquired Cooper Tires along with Mickey Thompson Tires, what will this mean for the future of M/T drag slicks?

Means Goodyear got their drag racing slick tire technicians back.

Free money zero percent interest loans, why not?

Zombie company's, robbing Peter to pay Paul.

Debt, the new wealthy. It's a ticking time bomb, unsustainable system of free money created out of thin air.

Goodyear was already losing money on every tire it sold. Fact

I have wondered that also. Could be the giant roll out killing ET. I really don't know. Are they faster or just faster because you don't shake and if you can run GY without shaking they are faster?

I remember when that stroke of genius took place with the installation of a new CEO at GY (visible confirmation of "improvement"). Hated it then, still hate it today.

Bingo TD! Say good bye to cooper too.. like so many other High performance purchases.

Comp high hp cars thrive on wheel speed, easier with a non aggressive Goodyear or old Goodyear’s..But some Comp guys like David Rampy figured out how to make a Hoosier fast! Not worthy

Well, and the tires seem to be quite small compared to bracket tires. It's funny, I never had an issue with my 12.0" tires. But ohh I'm going faster and I need a bigger tire to be safe and consistent.....LOL. See how that worked out.
