What are you using for bump up and/or down buttons. I have the moroso mushroom style for TB and small monetary for fuel system solenoid already on wheel. Are you suing same style as TB or just simple momentary that you can hit quick? Thinking of mounting on top of steering wheel, butterfly wheel so as to make easy to hit multiple times if feel need.

Do you run both and if so how often do you use bump up?

The big red mushrooms make good bump buttons since they give you more area to hit when you're not really focused on your hand and the button.

I use the B&M mushroom button for the TB button and a bump down. I do not have a bump up. If I need to bump up I will grab the TB button again and hit the bottom.

I use a Standard Size Mushroom button (small head) from Biondo on left thumb for TB release. My bump down is same style button on right thumb that is also my Hail Mary button. While delay box is timing, hitting the right button will bump down. After delay box times out and car is moving holding the same right button down will move the 2-3 shift point 150 rpm higher.

quick funny story not related to discussion but the topic reminded me. Couple years ago I jumped in my dads car and drove it all year. Kept having horrible lights and would even joke that i was .070 even after bumping it 3 times. fast forward to end of year and rewiring car to add a Grid... I find out the bump down button was really the bump up button.

I can laugh now but back then it wasn't funny. I'd come back from losing and my kids would be like " how late were you? " I'd day .052? What the heck, I even bumped it twice. They would shake their heads at me because I had earlier that day been on to them for their driving in juniors and my wife would say it was Karma. LOL Guess it was in a way.

I think the moral of this post is to possibly label your buttons.

I would never have enough time to decide I'm late, then decide how late I think I am, push the button accordingly and be correct in the end.
But I just last year figured out "cross over" or "cross talk" whatever you call it.
I lived in the Super classes for 25yrs until S/E (7.90) died out. Then I was forced to go bracket racing cuz 8.90 is ..well...too slow to go...lol

I was trying to talk myself out of another $70 button, but seems good portion here are using matching buttons.More than one using same button as I have. Maybe smart money is to buy it now instead of buy now replace later. See I don;t always argue my idea regardless what my wife would tell you.LMAO

After purchasing my current dragster, I realized the previous owner had the bump up/down buttons mixed up ! In his defense he didnt own the car very long.

I have had bump down in the car for a few year's, since I'm slow in my class only used it a few times. But I'm glad its there on the rare occasions when I need it.

Mike/SC4087,

That's super funny! I have the red mushroom button on top of butterfly wheel and have been know to pound it till the car left...

My son uses it more as a 17 year old brain works faster than a 50 year old. He knows how bad he missed it more often than me, he has .004 in the bump...I have .010 in the bump down and use it when needed.

I don't have a bump up and simply press harder on the TB button if I feel I am in deep and drag brake when I feel I let go too early.

Torquin, wasn't it your son you posted a video of a year or so ago and it showed him bumping like 5 times to the win?
